Seahorse sculptures

Seahorses, victims of pollution, destruction of their natural habitat and relentless harvesting for private aquariums, are threatened with extinction in the world's seas. These artworks are to remind us of the need for seahorse protection before it is too late.

These sculptures are created by first breaking down large forms into smaller elements. Then, as if putting together pieces of a puzzle, these smaller units are assembled through welding, weaving and sculpting to build a work with a stylized yet identifiable form.
